I study early 20thC British fiction and non-fiction that was marketed to the ordinary reader, without pretensions to art or high culture, but offering emotional pleasure and literary satisfaction in reading.
I work on publishing history and untangle bibliographies. I work on writers no-one now has ever heard of.
